MANGOTSFIELD UNITED SUPPORTERS CLUB - "CLASSIC GOLD CHRISTMAS DISCO PARTY" - SATURDAY 5TH DECEMBER

The first Mangotsfield United Supporters Club function will be held at Cossham Street on Saturday 5th December, this will be a "Classic Gold Christmas Disco Party" (with buffet). Entry for this event which is ticket only and commences at 8.00pm is £5.00 for MUSC adult members and £3.00 for MUSC Junior members. Prices for non members are £6.00 for adults and £4.00 for juniors. Tickets which are on sale now can be bought over the bar in the clubhouse, from the club shop and from MUSC committee members.

 

Thursday 19th November - Squad News - Gosport Borough v Mangotsfield United

Manager Phil Bater is once again facing up to an injury crisis ahead of Saturday's trip to Gosport Borough. Definitely ruled out are Martin Paul (hamstring), Lee Collier (ankle), Mike Trought (knee) and Jack Allward (shoulder). There are also doubts over Neil Arndale (groin), Scott Hendy (ankle) and Geraint Bater (ankle).

Gosport Borough currently occupy seventh place in The Zamaretto League South & West Division, five points off the play off places and are unbeaten at home in the league this season having won three and drawn three. Leading scorer for Gosport is last seasons top marksman in the South & West Division Justin Bennett who has eleven goals in all competitions this season.

 

Wednesday 18th November - Somerset Youth Floodlit League Premier Division - Mangotsfield United 1 Weston Super Mare 5

Mangotsfield United's inexperienced youth team went down 5 - 1 to league leaders Weston Super Mare. Ryan Davies scored for Mangotsfield. The next fixture for the youth team is on Monday 23rd November with the return match at Weston Super Mare.

 

Wednesday 18th November - Fixture Update

The Zamaretto League South & West Division home fixture against Bishops Cleeve originally due to be played on Tuesday 13th October but which was postponed due to an FA Cup replay has been rearranged for Tuesday 19th January, kick off 7.45pm

 

Tuesday 17th November - The Zamaretto League South & West Division - AFC Totton 2 Mangotsfield United 1

An unchanged Mangotsfield United side slipped to a single goal defeat at promotion favourites AFC Totton. After an evenly contested opening in which a determined Mangotsfield held their own the hosts took the lead midway through the first half through Brett Williams fifth league goal of the season.
