A difficult season ended on a positive note with a seventh home win of the season. An early goal from Mitchell Page set the foundations for an impressive first half performance which saw the hosts go in two goals to the good after Neil Arndale added a second on thirty three minutes. The second half saw Bedford come back strongly with the deficit being reduced courtesy of Jon Darby on sixty minutes. Bedford drew level with thirteen minutes remaining through a Tony Battersby spot kick. With the match seemingly heading towards a draw Mitch Tippins' late winner sealed the points for Mangotsfield United.

Mangotsfield went close to taking the lead inside the opening eight minutes when Mitchell Page met a cross from the left only to head across goal and wide of the far post. Minutes later Page redeemed himself when meeting Daine O'Connor's low cross from the right to side foot home at the back post for his ninth goal of the season.

With Mangotsfield dictating play James Pilling went close to adding a second on twenty one minutes after latching onto a loose ball twenty five yards out and drilling in a low shot which flashed just wide.

Five minutes later and Mangotsfield should have doubled their advantage when Neil Arndale picked out the unmarked Daine O'Connor with a pinpoint cross from the right but O'Connor failed to find the target when heading back across the face of goal but wide of the right hand upright.

Mangotsfield's first half superiority was rewarded with twelve minutes of the first half remaining as Neil Arndale made ground into the right side of the Bedford penalty area where after evading two challenges he slipped the ball under the body of Bedford Town goalkeeper Mike Armitt.

Not for the first time this season Mangotsfield lost their way during the second half. After a largely uneventful opening fifteen minutes Bedford drew level with their first notable chance on sixty minutes. The goal came from a quickly taken corner on the Mangotsfield left and with Tony Battersby being afforded time his cross was met by Jon Darby whose header found the top right corner.

Within a minute Bedford could have been on level terms after the Mangotsfield rearguard failed to deal with another corner but the unmarked Stuart Wall failed to find the target when heading into the ground with the ball bouncing over the bar.

Midway through the half another set piece caused problems, this time a free kick from the right delivered into the heart of the penalty area was met by Eddie Lawley whose header failed to trouble Josh Clapham.

With Bedford pushing for an equaliser chances continued to be created. On seventy two minutes Ian Draycott was played in on the right side of the penalty area where he worked Josh Clapham with a strike to the near post which was turned behind for a corner. Minutes later Clapham was called upon to tip a Stuart Wall free kick over the bar.

After a sustained period of pressure Bedford levelled on seventy seven minutes via a Tony Battersby spot kick awarded after referee Mr Nunn had spotted some pushing when the players were challenging for a corner from the right.

A Mangotsfield side which had failed to trouble Mike Armitt during the second half snatched a late winner after a counter attack saw the ball worked inside to Ellis Wilmot who picked out second half substitute Mitch Tippins wide on the left where after coming inside and making ground into the penalty area he showed good composure when guiding the ball past Armitt and into the bottom right corner.
