MANGOTSFIELD UNITED RESERVES 2009/10
Away Tie In League Cup
After overcoming Cleeve West Town in the second round of the Errea League Cup Mangotsfield United Reserves have been drawn away against Bridgwater Town Reserves in the quarter finals. The tie is to be played on Tuesday 2nd March.
The league fixture against Paulton Rovers originally due to be played on Saturday 14th November but postponed due to a waterlogged playing surface has now been rearranged for Tuesday 23rd February.

In an entertaining game played in difficult conditions the reserves, with an average age of just nineteen continued to play in a positive way, keeping possession against a resilient Cleeve West Town. Mangotsfield had the lions share of the first half but failed to make the most of the chances created and went in level to half time.
Mangotsfield started the second half brightly playing against the elements with Tom Coombs firing over from close range before Ryan Crew gave Mangotsfield a deserved lead on fifty six minutes when scoring from eight yards out.
A second soon followed after Sam Roberts won the ball on the edge of the Mangotsfield penalty area from where he launched a counter attack, finding Conor Britton who in turn worked the ball to Matt Brown who after making ground and evading a number of challenges lost possession but with the ball breaking kindly to Tom Coombs he applied the finish with a crisp from twelve yards on seventy three minutes.
However the best goal was saved to last with a move which started on the edge of the Mangotsfield penalty area and involved a number of passes ending with a cross from the right which was finished at the back post by Matt Brown.
Cleeve West Town rallied during the last ten minutes forcing a number of corners but with Mangotsfield defending well a deserved clean sheet was kept.
